Join us this summer for the third annual Duluth Duathlon! The duathlon is a run/bike/run event that is perfect for those looking for a unique and challenging multisport race. The event starts at Lester Park with a 3.3 mile run on hard packed trails. After the first run is a 20.4 mile bike portion that goes along smooth rolling roads followed by a second run that goes along the same course as the first run.

The first 200 participants to register for the 2008 race will recieve a race shirt in addition to a commemorative pint glass when they pick up their race packet.

9:00 AM: FIRST WAVE START

9:20 AM: Top 20% WAVE START

Price Hikes:

Individual:
• $40 through May 15
• $45 May 16 - June 25
• $50 June 26 - July 3

Relay (must register together/ 2-3 people):
• $50 through May 15
• $55 May 16 - June 25
• $60 June 26 - July 3

Awards

Every racer will receive a commemorative Duluth Duathlon pint glass with registration.

Awards will be given for the top three males and females in each of the following age groups: 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+   (Note: Age as of 12/31/08)

Other Awards: First overall male and female

Relay Awards: Top three overall in each division (Male, Female, Coed, Corporate).

Rules

•  Bikers must wear ANSI approved bike helmets.
•  We adhere to all race rules and regulations as set by USAT.

Bring the Family!

Bring the whole family as there's something for everyone. Aside from great viewing areas along the race course the family can enjoy the large playground at the finish line or hike alongside the park's waterfalls. This is one of Duluth's best parks.
